Description
The LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) module is a highly responsive environmental sensor designed to measure ambient light levels. Operating on the principle of photo-conductivity, its internal resistance decreases as light intensity increases. Often equipped with an onboard comparator and a potentiometer for easy sensitivity adjustment, it typically provides both analog and digital outputs. In a STEM learning environment, it is the standard component for introducing students to analog sensor readings and automated threshold triggers. When connected to microcontrollers such as the Arduino UNO or Magic Board, it is perfect for constructing automated streetlights, day/night switches, and light-seeking robotic vehicles.
